The National Hot Dog & Sausage Council isn’t very happy about a new billboard that’s gone up in Chicago. Reportedly, the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine has put up a billboard on an Expressway that says “Hot Dogs Cause Butt Cancer.” The National Hot Dog & Sausage Council says the billboard is “outrageous” and “inflammatory,” calling the PCRM a “pseudo-medical animal rights group” that wants everyone to be a vegan. The PCRM says they’re simply trying to warn people that eating hot dogs can cause colon and other cancers. They’ve also put up similar adds in cities like Miami and Indianapolis. I wonder if we’ll get one here in Columbus.
