A former deputy Abbas Sherif was arrested late Thursday evening after gunshots were fired outside of his ex-girlfriends house. Sherif was pulled over at 8:30 p.m. and arrested for a DUI and improperly Handling Firearms in a Motor Vehicle. There were two firearms found and confiscated from Sherif’s black Chevrolet Blazer. The Columbus Police confirmed that Sherif was a deputy until he resigned for unknown reasons last week. For more on the story click HERE
