The company that makes Cracker Jack is adding something to the century-old candy-coated popcorn and peanuts snack — caffeine. Frito-Lay is introducing Cracker Jack’D Power Bites later this year. Ingredients of the snack for grownups will include coffee, with about as much caffeine as a one-ounce espresso or two 12-ounce colas. Frito-Lay says it will market the pumped-up snack to adults exclusively and identify the coffee and caffeine ingredients on the front and back of the package.
