We’re only slightly biased, but one of the best aspects of MTV’s “This Is How I Made It” is learning new things about our favorite stars before they made it big. And during this week’s brand-new episode features, we learned plenty about sultry R&B diva Ciara as she looked back at the “Goodies” that led her to stardom.
“My goal for my first album was to make my voice clear,” Ciara says in the episode airing Saturday at noon on MTV. “I was 17 years old, so I really wanted to make sure that I spoke from the place that hopefully are the young girls I identified with.”
The 27-year-old explained that her breakout hit “Goodies,” which she wanted to be empowering but fun, originally had a different title. READ MORE
