The New York Press has confirmed that Beyonce’s ‘Star Spangled Banner’ performance at the Inauguration ceremony was in fact a recording!
“All music is pre-recorded for the ceremony because there are so many eventualities and conditions that day,” Kristin DuBois, a rep for [The United States Marine Band] tells Page Six. “We performed, live, the band. But we received last-minute word that Beyoncé was going to use the pre-recorded vocal track. Those were the instructions we were given. We don’t know what the reason why.”
Beyonce instagramed a picture of herself Sunday rehearsing with the US Marine Band. That is said to have been her only rehearsal and the time where she recorded the track. Kelly Clarkson came to DC in advanced and had more rehersal time that Beyonce. It is being said that Beyonce has been very busy preparing for her halftime performance for the Super Bowl in two weeks.
Tuesday morning Beyonce Instagramed a new picture of herself in New Orleans, where I’m assuming she is getting her practice in for her next big performance. Wonder if she will lip sing this one…
Do you think it’s that big of deal?
