The shooting and fiery car crash that took place early Thursday morning (February 21) in Las Vegas claimed the lives of three people. One of the victims has finally been identified as Kenneth Cherry Jr., an aspiring rapper who went by the name Kenny Clutch.

Kenny, originally from Oakland, lived in Las Vegas. The details of the crash are still a little hazy, but according to reports from the LA Times, the car crash happened after bullets were fired from a black Range Rover that hit the Maserati that Kenny was driving. Both vehicles left from the Aria resort on the strip and for reasons that still remain unclear the drivers of the Range Rover sent several bullets towards Cherry’s Maserati. The sports car drove into the intersection at Flamingo Road and hit a taxi, which caused an explosion killing both the driver and passenger.

Kenny later died at the hospital. His attorney, Vicki Greco lamented his sudden death. “Out of everyone I know in the rapping industry, there is no way I would have ever, ever expected to find that he was shot on the Las Vegas Strip in such an aggressive manner,” she said.
