The Voice judge Usher is getting ready for his first lead role in a movie as Sugar Ray Leonard. Usher is in the process of getting his body ready for the part and learning more about the sport of boxing.
“You couldn’t find a more stylized boxer than Sugar Ray Leonard. He was an incredible motion guy, the way he moved around the ring, and I think my dancing will make it easier for me to pick up his moves. I’ve been working on familiarizing myself with the ring, sparring and just understanding how to move in the ring.”
The movie is set to be shot in Panama. Usher has a goal of loosing 12 pounds then plans on toning up with muscle to get that Sugar Ray physique.
