Paula Cooper (pictured), a Indiana woman who was sentenced to death at age 16 after she killed an elderly woman back in 1985, will be released today. Cooper stabbed 78-year-old Bible school teacher Ruth Pelke 33 times at her Gary, Ind., home. She and three other teens conned their way into Pelke’s home, saying they wanted Bible lessons.

Cooper’s death sentence at the time sparked international outrage because of her age. The sentence was eventually set aside and changed to 60 years in prison.

Today, Cooper is set to be freed. She says she is a different person now. Do you think teen killers deserve a second chance?
