A female non-affiliate reported sexual imposition at Ohio State Hospital East, located at 1492 E. Broad St. The incident occurred on June 19 at about 6 p.m. and investigation into the event is still pending, according to a University Police report.

This is the fourth instance of sexual imposition or gross sexual imposition reported on OSU’s campus since the end of Spring Semester classes, and it is the third instance to be reported in theWexner Medical Center. The first report was reported at Care Point East on May 2, the second at Harding Hospital on May 26 and the third was near Curl Drive on June 17.

Ohio Law defines sexual imposition as sexual contact in which the offender knows it will upset the victim, the victim is unaware of the contact or unable to “control the offender,” the victim is between 13 and 16 years old and the offender is older than 18, or the offender is a mental health professional and convinces the victim the “contact is necessary for mental health treatment.”

A male student reported an individual attempting to pass a bad check at the U.S. Bank located in the Ohio Union on Saturday. The event reportedly happened June 14. The check was from a student and was made payable to North Steppe Reality for $505. Investigation into the event is still pending, according to a University Police report.

Two men were arrested in Arps Parking Garage on June 18 at about 2 a.m.

The first, a 46-year-old man, was charged with criminal trespass, possessing criminal tools, possessing drug paraphernalia, carrying concealed weapons (a knife) and an open container violation. The second, a 36-year-old man, was charged with criminal trespass and criminal damaging.

There were 13 total thefts reported on OSU’s campus this week from June 18 to June 25. Five of these were thefts of bicycles. SOURCE
