PIQUA, Ohio – Three women are facing felony drug charges after troopers allegedly found them in possession of various drugs with a street value of an estimated $29,600 during a traffic stop in Miami County on Tuesday.
Troopers from the Piqua post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol stopped a 2006 Dodge Magnum, with Kentucky registration, for following too closely on Interstate 75 at about 8:56 a.m. Tuesday, according to OSHP.

Upon approaching the vehicle, troopers say they could detect an odor of raw marijuana coming from inside of the vehicle.
Troopers searched the vehicle and reported finding a cardboard box containing more than nine grams of heroin, 143 prescription pills, 993 Ecstasy pills and 320 milliliters of liquid codeine in the rear cargo area of the vehicle.
The driver, Wilhemina C. Simpson, 32, of Louisville, Kentucky, and passengers, Ashley T. May, 29, of Highland Park, Michigan, and Antionette C. Simpson, 35, of Louisville, Kentucky, were arrested. Each woman has been charged with possession of Ecstasy, possession of heroin, possession of Hydrocodone and Codeine and possession of marijuana, according to troopers.

If convicted, each woman could face up to 19 years in prison and be forced to pay up to $42,500 in fines, according to troopers.
