COLUMBUS, Ohio – Police were searching for a suspect after a fatal shooting in north Columbus.
Stephan L. Austin, 39, was found on the front porch of a home just after midnight with a gunshot wound to his upper body.
Neighbors reported hearing at least eight gunshots, some of them pinging off an air conditioner at the house in the 600 block of East 4th Avenue.
Austin was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police did not have a description of a suspect. Investigators canvassed the crime scene for several hours looking for clues.
