COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State University Buckeye football player Ray Small was behind bars Friday morning, facing a number of drug charges.

Authorities tell 10TV that Small was arrested Thursday night after the Columbus police gang unit tracked Small to a condominium in Whitehall.

Six felony drug possession and trafficking charges were filed against the former Buckeye on Wednesday.

Investigators said the charges stemmed from an April search of Small’s north Columbus apartment. The indictment indicates that authorities seized heroin and oxycodone, along with a semi-automatic handgun and assault rifle.

The indictment also names another man in connection with the alleged crimes. He is Anthony Jones of Detroit.  Small, 26, was being held in the Franklin County jail.

He was also indicted on drug charges out of Meigs County last year, after he was found in more than 200 oxycontin tablets. SOURCE
