A large gas leak forced residents to be evacuated in Prarie Township Saturday afternoon.
A construction crews working near Woodlawn Avenue and West Broad Street struck a gas line at 12:30 p.m. Several businesses and nearly forty residents were evacuated by fire personnel. Evacuated residents were taken to the Prarie Township Fire station for shelter.
Crews remain at the scene working to repair the broken gas line. SOURCE
