Frank Ocean’s been working hard while touring lately…maybe a little too hard. While beginning the Australian leg of his tour in Melbourne on Thursday (June 25), Frank played with a sore throat, only to find out one of his vocal chords is torn, prompting the Grammy winner to cancel the rest of the Australian trek.

“After last night’s concert… it was necessary to seek medical advice due to vocal issues Frank Ocean experienced during the show,” Ocean’s tour promoter explained. “It has subsequently been confirmed that Frank has suffered a small tear to one of his vocal cords and has received medical advice that he must rest his voice. This makes the completion of his remaining Australian dates impossible.”

The rest of the tour schedule consisted of another show in Melbourne on Friday (July 26) and two shows in Sydney on Monday on Tuesday (July 29, 30). According to his publicist, it’s still unclear if Ocean will be able to performance at the Osheaga Festival in Montreal on August 3 or OVO Music Festival in Toronto on August 4.

Get well soon, Frank! SOURCE
