Columbus schools are starting today with a little bump that has a lot of parents upset…. late buses.  Monday night district spokesman Jeff Warner, stated that there is a shortage of licensed bus drivers to transport students.  He also stated that all students riding buses will be picked up, but many of the buses will be late.

In the morning, high school and middle school bus routes are expected to run on time. Some elementary morning routes may run late, possibly up to a half hour.

In the evenings, schools will dismiss at their regular times. Elementary and middle school routes are expected to run on time. Buses will not be available to pick up all high school students until dropping off elementary and middle school students.

Buses are expected back to the high schools between 4 and 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
