Every responsible adult knows that budgeting for food costs is just as important as keeping their lights on. And depending on the size of the family, those said expenses for nourishment can get pretty pricey.
Doug Rauch, the former president of health nut magnet grocery store Trader Joe’s has come up with a solution, albeit not the most appetizing one.
He’s opening up a store in Dorchester, Mass this spring that will specialize in stocking only expired food. It will be set up as a non-profit but it will still be a retail outlet.
