WATER COOLER TALK: Michael Vick has just signed a lucrative football contract with the Jets, but before he was even able to celebrate, PETA tweeted out the following statement:
“At least Michael Vick can’t drown, electrocute, hang, or shoot a football the way he terrorized man’s best friend.”
It’s been seven years since Vick served his time in prison, joined an animal rights group, spoken at a number of events about regretting dogfighting, written a book, and reclaimed his glory on the football field.
But groups, such as PETA, can continue coming after Vick while other criminals walk away from time served “scott free”.
When is it time to forgive? Is it ever time to forgive?
