The Cleveland Browns added quite the lineup to the team — including quarterback Vince Young.

He’s now one of four quarterbacks with the Browns. He was invited to minicamp on a tryout basis.

This will be Young’s 7th season out of Texas after starting his NFL career and spending five seasons with the Tennessee Titans, and then, signing with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011.

But he’s gracious for another chance after being dumped by the Green Bay Packers and Buffalo Bills.

“It’s a blessing,” he said. “Right now, I am going to take stepping stones to make the team and put my nose down and keep working.”

And he’s not taking any chances this time around. He’s ready to work… and win!

“The message is being told to the team I want to be here with the Browns,” he said. “I have always had a tremendous amount of confidence in myself.”

“A lot of people don’t know behind the scenes I have been putting in a lot of work,” Young added. “I want to continue to keep fighting. I want to be ready and am happy I stayed on task.”

Although Young felt a little rusty at minicamp, he still had it.

“There were a couple of times this week, but there was definitely some rust on me.”

Mike Pettine agreed he still had it — showing flashes of it.

“I joked with him that the rust was falling off in chunks,” Pettine said. “But he flashed a couple of times out there.”
