5 NBA Playoff Records Broken So Far This Year

    We’re only half way through the NBA playoffs, and several players and teams have broken personal records and franchise for better or worse.

    Most Three Pointers In a Game

    The Atlanta Hawks couldn’t pull off the upset win to beat the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the NBA playoffs, but they still managed to set the NBA playoff record of launching up 44 three-point shots.

    Heat Scoring Record

    According to Sportnet Ticker, Lebron James scored 49 points in Monday’s Game 4 win against the Brooklyn Nets, which set a new scoring record for the Miami Heat for most point in a single playoff game.

    Nets Set Franchise Record

    The nets made 15 of 25 three-pointers attempts, the most by any team this post season and a franchise playoff record.

    New Rebound Record

    The Pacers grabbed a franchise-low 23 rebounds in Tuesday’s Game 5 defeat

    Marcin Gortat Sets Record

    Wizards center Marcin Gortat became the first Wizards player to have at least 30 and 15 in a playoff game since hall of famer Moses Malone in 1987.  Marcin and Dwight Howard are the only player over the players in 30 postseason with 30 points and 15 rebounds while shooting at least 80 percent from the field.
