Veteran rapper Snoop Dogg’s (known more recently as Snoop Lion, pictured above) just welcomed his first grandchild named Zion Kalvin (pictured). The baby boy’s parents are Snoop’s eldest son, Corde Broadus (pictured bottom, in blue), and his partner Jessica Kyzer. The proud grandfather posted a montage of pictures via his Instagram account celebrating the great news.
When Zion was making his entrance into the world, the 43-years-young Snoop was reportedly not in town to welcome him firsthand but wife Shante Taylor (pictured above) was front and center at the birth. Shante, who has been married to Snoop for 25 years, was also photographed cradling and lovingly gazing in to her grandson’s peaceful countenance. The couple has three children, Corde 21, Cordell 18 (pictured in gray and white), and 15-year-old Cori. Snoop also has a 16-year-old son, Julian, from another relationship.

Cordell and Snoop have ventured into an ESPN TV docuseries together entitled “Snoop & Son.” The television program delves in to Cordell’s aspirations of segueing into college football next year. The young gridiron player is already considered a dynamo on the playing field and is reportedly being massively recruited by scouts from top schools.
Cordell is a four-star recruit and one of the top wide receivers available in the nation in the class of 2015. The 6-foot-3, 186-pound wideout already has scholarship offers from the likes of Florida State University, Louisiana State University, Notre Dame, University of Southern California, and Baylor University.
Snoop certainly has a few good reasons these days to puff out his chest!
