According to ESPN the undisputed national champions have hired Notre Dame assistant Tony Alford to replace departed running backs coach Stan Drayton.
Alford becomes the third different Notre Dame assistant to leave for Ohio State since the Urban Era bgan 2012 season, joining Ed Warinner and Tim Hinton.
Alford is the last remaining member from Charlie Weis’ staff at Notre Dame.
He also operated as recruiting coordinator for the Irish the last three seasons.
