Scheduling Coordinator – Home Care

Home Health Connection a Fast-paced Home Health Care company and one of the leading Home Care Companies in Central Ohio is seeking a full time scheduling coordinator.
Prior intake experience is a must. Minimum of 2 years home care experience is preferred.
Must have excellent communication, people and phone skills. Full time position with competitive salary and excellent benefit package, including health, dental, vision insurance & 401k. Paid time off (vacation, sick, holiday).
Qualifications:
- Possess at least a High School Diploma (Associate’s degree in business administration or related field or college-level training is preferred) or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- One year of scheduling experience, preferably in a health care setting.
- Ability to communicate with public, clients, employees and referring sources in a positive and tactful
manner.
- Must have adequate qualifications in both typing and mathematical skills.
- Versed in interview techniques.
- Must possess sensitivity in understanding employees’ needs, while maintaining a sense of balance to ensure that staffing requirements for the agency are met.
- Computer literate.
Broad Description of responsibilities
- Responsible for establishing staffing patterns and schedules for all home health aides and nursing staff.
- Works with personnel office advising them of personnel needs, termination, and other information necessary for a smooth flow of work regarding field employees.
- Interprets personnel policies for home health aides and nurses during the course of the work.
- Participates in in-service training, when required.
- Assists in securing personnel for absences, etc., adjusting schedules as required.
- Answer telephone inquires and channels calls to appropriate personnel.
- Process new patient referral information into the computer system on a timely basis.
- Maintain employee data bank and ensure that employee/contractor information is current and accurate.
- Record referrals, admission, discharges and other patient information into the computer system as indicated.
- Maintain the scheduling system on the computer system in a timely manner.
