It looks like both Kelly Rowland and Brandy Norwood will have new series on BET. Kelly is set to host a new singing competition show, Chasing Destiny, which BET calls “a search for the next blazing hot singing sensation.” Having launched her career as one of the original members of Destiny’s Child, followed by a wildly successful solo career and her recent stint as a judge on Fox’s popular talent competition, The X Factor, Rowland is a natural fit for this new talent search.

Brandy will star in the original scripted series, Zoe Moon, where she will portray a divorced single mom who is launching her cosmetics business and trying to navigate the dating game while raising her 10 year old son. Brandy starred in the UPN sitcom Moesha from 1996-2001, and also appeared with Whitney Houston in the 1997 groundbreaking multicultural television production of the classic, Cinderella, in the title role. She is currently one of the co-star’s of BET’s The Game, which is in its final season.
