It hasn’t even been a month since the release of Furious 7 in theaters worldwide, and we can already start thinking about yet another Fast & Furious film.

According to reports, Universal Studios announced that Furious 8 is on the way, will start filming sometime in the near future, and already has an official release date of April 14, 2017.

We’re not sure if the movie’s story will bring back Vin Diesel, despite the first promotional photo for the film featuring him on the Empire State Building.

There’s also no word on the rest of the cast joining, such as Tyrese, Ludacris, The Rock, Michelle Rodriguez, and more.

We already have said goodbye to the character of the late Paul Walker in the 7th movie, but there is always a chance producers might surprise fans and include any unreleased footage of him.

Luda talked about the potential of a sequel in an interview with E! News, stating:

“There have been talks about a sequel but nothing has been confirmed in terms of Furious 8, but I really feel like we need to let the fans decide whether there’s going to be a Furious 8 and we’ll work it from there,” he revealed. “Right now we kind of need a moment of silence to reflect on this individual who started the franchise. So rest in peace, Paul Walker.”

Well, it looks like the fans have spoken through the box office, as the recently released 7th film grossed $300 million domestically.
