The situation in Baltimore has gotten serious enough to call Prince into action. The Purple One has already recorded a not-yet released protest song for the city, and this weekend, he’s going to be performing.

That’s right. Prince is returning to Baltimore in a “Rally 4 Peace” show with his band 3RDEYEGIRL.

“In a spirit of healing, the event is meant to be a catalyst for pause and reflection following the outpouring of violence that has gripped Baltimore and areas throughout the US,” says the press release. “As a symbolic message of our shared humanity and love for one another, attendees are invited to wear something gray in tribute to all those recently lost in the violence.”

So Baltimore gets Prince and potentially the premiere of his new song. Things are looking up.

Tickets go on sale on LiveNation Wednesday at 5 p.m.
