Lil Wayne & Birdman

Birdman has denied involvement in the attempted hit on Lil Wayne‘s tour bus back in April.

TMZ is reporting that Birdman told Wayne he was not tied to the incident in any way, and offered his help in finding the people responsible for the attack.

The situation looked suspicious AF after it was revealed that calls were placed on two phones registered to Birdman immediately following the shooting. However, TMZ goes on to explain that the company phones belonged to Cash Money, which Birdman owns, so the link may not be as transparent as previously assumed.

Via TMZ:

We’re told the call came from someone in Wayne’s camp who was understandably pissed, and anxious to tell Birdman what went down shortly before the shooting — that Jimmy Carlton Winfrey had been kicked out of a club for harassing Wayne.

Winfrey was eventually arrested and charged with the shooting.

Meanwhile, Birdman has neither confirmed nor denied whether he threw at drink on Weezy during his recent club performance.

Can’t Birdman and Wayne just kiss and make up?
