Immigration was the main source of contention in last night’s event. Most notably, Donald Trump spoke again on his plan to build a wall between the U.S. and Mexico while opponents Jeb Bush and John Kasich derided his ideas as being ridiculously bigoted. Both Bush and Kasich are driving to garner more votes from Hispanic immigrants, though they may quickly be losing their spots in the race from poor poll numbers. [CNN]

Obama Administration Strives To Improve Healthcare Access For Veterans

In addition to healthcare, Obama is looking to widen and facilitate access to amenities for those with disabilities as well as education benefits to Americans who have served in the military. Obama’s call to Congress for legislators to enact these measures comes after a massive scandal at the Department of Veteran Affairs alleging misconduct and deeply rooted management problems at veterans hospitals that has impaired service for patients. NY Attorney General Strikes Down, Deems FanDuel & DraftKings Illegal

Eric Schneiderman has issued cease-and-desist letters to the operators behind these popular daily fantasy sports sites. FanDuel and DraftKings are industry giants in a billion-dollar gaming industry; FanDuel has accused Schneiderman of putting a wrench in their business for his own media coverage while DraftKings responded saying that it will pursue its legal options to ensure that New Yorkers can continue to use its gaming services. Groundbreaking Pianist & Song Writer Allen Toussaint Dies At 77

Toussaint passed of a heart attack en route to the hospital yesterday morning after performing at a concert in Madrid. The pianist was a native of New Orleans and is famous for writing the songs, “Working in a Coal Mine” and “Lady Marmalade.” His past collaborators include famous artists like Paul Simon, Paul McCartney, Patti LaBelle, Joe Cocker and Elvis Costello. At Least Nine Dead In Fire From Plane Crash Into An Ohio Apartment Building

Nine people were aboard the small business jet that hit a Akron residential complex that was intended to land at a local airport. City officials say that it appears no one was in the complex at the crash site at the time of the accident. This morning, a mass fatality team has been recovering bodies while calls are being made to loved ones of the victims from the fire. [LA Times]

106 Bikers Indicted For Waco Shootout With Law Enforcement

The bikers, a group that was 177 in total at the time of the shooting in May, have been charged with organized criminal activity. The remaining 71 bikers are awaiting charges that will be decided on in the next jury meeting. Nine were killed and 20 were injured in a confrontation stemmed from the rivalry between the Bandidos and the Cossacks motorcycle clubs. [Seattle PI]
