WAVES

Earlier this week, Kanye West tweeted an image revealing his new album entitled “SWISH,” along with a track list.

But of course–in traditional Kanye adventitious style–he hit us with an album name change randomly last night (pictured above), now calling the highly anticipated release “WAVES”:

Hipster Twitter (those who follow the latest trends and fashions and immediately tweet, especially those regarded as being outside the cultural mainstream) literally went HAM … not even 30 seconds after Kanye posted the name change, claiming West was being self-absorbed and coining the term “WAVE,” without paying homage to it’s alleged original Harlem roots.

Twitter users even cited Harlem rapper MAX B (currently incarcerated) as the reason “waves” or “wavy” is even considered cool.

Grammy-Award winning artist and one-of-many Hipster Twitter leaders Wiz Khalifa tweeted the below:

Take a look at super-producer Chasen Cashe’s tweets:

Ultimately, Kanye took to Twitter and paid respect to Max B following the hipster outrage:

In conclusion – the #FreeMaxB hive holds down Max. They’re even willing to go up against the great Kanye West. Wondering if this will help with Max’s petition he needs for National Freedom Day on February 1st?
