Dante Carroll loved networking with like-minded African Americans. So when “Black Planet” emerged, he thought it was another networking opportunity, so he was one of the first to join! Well Dante soon realized this website had more romantic intentions. One night, Dante saw Lisa’s profile. She was successful, but also beautiful. He decided to send her a message, not to network, but to tell her he was interested in getting together…outside of Black Planet. Dante Carroll: the first person to slide in the DMs.
