In light of the current #OscarsSoWhite controversy, actress and Oscar winner herself Meryl Streep (she was in The Devil Wears Prada, Mamma Mia plus dozens of other films) was questioned about diversity in Hollywood while she was on a panel for an international film festival, and said “We’re all Africans, really.”
Personally, not too sure should take that…is she acknowledging that everyone has African roots and should be proud, or is she saying white actors should be allowed to play any race, due to everyone being quote – African?
