A Pennsylvania High School student in Pennsylvania  made national headlines when she was reportedly thrown out of her prom for wearing a suit instead of a dress.

Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg, PA released a statement on Saturday stating the dress code for their 2016 prom was sent to parents three months ago.

The School reveals they specified girls are required to wear formal dresses, and those who did not follow “suit”  would not be admitted.

Student Aniya Wolf told WHTM-TV her family got a last-minute email saying girls had to wear dresses. Wolf said that she is a lesbian who has worn a shirt and pants all three years she’s attended the school.
