The Black Lives Matter movement has crossed oceans and has sparked a march in the city of London.

Hundreds of British residents gathered in Central London to march against the police brutality that has been happening here in America. Many shouted “Hands up, Don’t shoot!” while carrying banners throughout the country’s capital. The Black Lives Matter London Movement was founded by 18-year-old student Marayam Ali. “By these people coming here to stand and unite, they are showing that they are against police brutality and that’s the most important thing,” said Marayam to The Voice.

Earlier this week, 5 police officers were killed in Dallas, Texas just days after the tragic shooting of Alton Sterlings and Philando Castille.
