Nine people have been taken to area hospitals after an attacker purposely ran over pedestrians on the campus of the Ohio State University. After running his car into the crowd the attacker then got out of his car and attempted to stab and hurt others with a butcher knife. The suspect was the approached by a university police officer and was shot.

The sounds of gun shots then triggered an active shooter alert on campus. By noon the situation was contained and now in investigation mode. Campus will remain closed Monday. One student remains in critical condition. A terrorist attack has not been outruled at this moment.
