Monday November 28th started off as a normal day on the campus of The Ohio State University until 18 year old student Abdul Razak Ali Artan drove his car into a crowd of students on campus during a fire drill.  Artan then jumped out of his car with a butcher knife continuing his attack on innocent students wounding 11 people.

Artan was killed within minutes of his attack by OSU officer Alan Horujko ending this tragedy.  Columbus Dispatch photographer Tom Dodge was on the scene and got eyewitness accounts of the incident from Martin Schneider.

Abdul Razak Ali Artan is a legal perminant resident and came to Columbus in 2014 with his family as Somali refugees.  Days before the attack Artan posted on his Facebook page for America, “to stop interfering with other countries, especially the Muslim Ummah,”

He had also done an interview earlier this year with The Lantern, Ohio State’s Newspaper, expressing how he was scared to pray in public because of treatment of Muslims, “I wanted to pray in the open, but I was scared with everything going on in the media,”

Investigations continue today
