Apply to be a CelebrateOne Connector Corps member and receive Community Health Worker training and certification to serve one of 8 Columbus neighborhoods that face high rates of infant mortality and other health challenges.

We need EVERYBODY! Men, women, seniors and young adults age 18 and over.

Infant Mortality in Columbus

In Columbus, we lose 150 babies each year before their first birthdays –African American babies are dying at 2.5 times the rate of white babies.

The CelebrateOne Connector Corps program is designed to train and establish a group of people in our neighborhoods to connectwith teens, mothers, fathers and families tokeep babies alive and strengthen the future of our communities.

Participation in the program includes:

  • 12-14 weeks of paid training with The Ohio State University’s College of Nursing Community Health Worker Certification Program
  • Part-time paid internship ending December 31, 2016 (minimum 900 hours)
  • Support for long-term employment in health related fields through workforce development and continuing education.
  • Connection to a growing movement in Columbus
