This international ‘unoffical’ group packs a beaut out the home of he Beetles, Liverpool England, & a southern renaissance man from American Idol, Fantasia Barrino’s home, High Point North Carolina. The two met in Brooklyn NY, by what they say was “fate”. Their 1st record, the jazzy Slow Burn, produced by Sa-Ra (Erykah Badu, Kanye West, Diddy, Bilal) bought them attention in the UK for its soulful groove and eventually became a favorite of DJ’s at top stations in the UK.

Caktuz & Gia’s 2009 A Summer In Paris tour was 50% funded out of pocket and helped to spread their music from the states to the UK. The two ran from New York City to the UK Shooting videos, recording with other artists from all over the world, weeks of festivals, and even Caktuz crashing a festival stage. Caktuz & Gia are not your ordinary rap duo. So far they’ve only dropped singles and some freestyles together. This year they may be the year they give fans an album…or something SOURCE

Liverpool Rapper MR2Grime has been pushing his way into the US hip hop scene since early 2010 with his  EP Words. The UK lyricist has been reporting over his twitter feeds about his new video “Aint Talkin Cash”. The track is from M2G’s new mixtape due out early 2011 (TBA).

Recently, there has been talk from both M2G and rising North Carolina threat Caktuz about a US remix to this English heater. “I met Caktuz on my 1st trip to NYC with Nikki Blaze, and later when he came to Liverpool on tour” says M2G via skype to our offices; “when I was really ready to make some major moves with my music, I reached out to him and he was down from the start”

Caktuz, who recently announced his artist-approved weekly download campaign #OverTheWallWeds. [see article], was unavailable at press time for a comment, but his participation in the remix has been confirmed by his General Manager.

With all the tracks both of these artists have been dropping lately, this collaboration may just be worth a listen. Release date for the remix has not bee set yet, but until then, check out M2G’s new video “Aint Talkin Cash”produced by Only Human.

According to published reports, father Stephen Forse found a dead mouse in a loaf of bread he was using to make sandwiches for his children.

Forse, who said he had already used some of the bread when he noticed ‘a dark-colored object embedded in the corner of three or four slices’, states that upon the discovery he notified his local environmental health agency.

As if finding a mouse in the bread wasn’t bad enough, Forse states that the situation became even more disgusting after the environmental agent discovered that the mouse was missing its tail.

“Her comments made me feel ill once again as there was no indication as to where the tail was,” Mr. Forse told the UK Daily Mail “ My question was, ‘Had it fallen off prior to the bread being wrapped or had any of my family eaten it with another slice of bread on a previous day?’ I instantly became ill.”

The bread company, Manufacturer Premier Foods, was fined $8700 and ordered to pay more than $17,000 in costs for failing to maintain acceptable standards at their site in Mitcham, South London.

A spokesman for Premier Foods issued this statement saying:

‘We apologize profusely for the distress caused as a result of this isolated incident.”
