Friday night Jay-Z announced that he signed rapper Jay Electronica to his Roc Nation label. For the most part fans were happy to hear that the talented MC had found a recording home that would give him some visibility. However, not every one is sharing in that happiness.
Earlier in the year Jay recorded a song with P. Diddy called “Ghost of Christopher Wallace” leading many to believe that he was signing with the other S.C.
Diddy must have thought so to because he vented some frustration on his twitter page to an unnamed person:
Adding to the drama, Jay Electronica’s love interest Eryka Badu tweeted to Diddy saying “I’m Sorry.”
Was this the best move for Jay Electronica? We know that Jay-Z and Diddy both have considerable pull in the industry for themselves but what about their artists?
