Sports The Way I See It: Cam Newton
This year’s Heisman Finalists were announced and as expected Cam Newton of Auburn headlined the four. Oregon’s LaMichael James, Kellen Moore of Boise State and Andrew Luck of Stanford are the slightly overshadowed other three. A little over a week ago there was speculation on whether Cam Newton was going to reap the rewards of his phenomenal season.
With the looming NCAA investigation there were many that felt like a vote for Newton was a wasted one. No one wanted to see another Reggie Bush incident. So here we are days away from the Heisman presentation and obviously there were plenty of voters that felt as though the NCAA findings (the association found that Newton was unaware of anything that his father or others may have done) that cleared him to play, were enough. I can’t help but to wonder will it be enough for him to win or were there enough people that allowed the allegations to sway what I feel to be an obvious choice?
