Parts of Minnesota received nearly two feet of snow and a blizzard warning was in effect Sunday for parts of eastern Iowa, southeastern Wisconsin, northwestern Illinois and northern Michigan. Surrounding areas, including Chicago were under winter storm warnings.

Snow even caved in the roof of the Minnesota Vikings’ stadium. No one was hurt in the Metrodome’s roof collapse.   The damage to the Metrodome has caused the Vikings’ game against the New York Giants to be relocated to  Ford Field in Detroit.

More than 1,600 flights were cancelled at O’Hare International Airport and Midway International Airport in Chicago.
