Rapper Waka Flocka Flame and three other men were being questioned at police headquarters late Wednesday after a shootout at an east Charlotte car stereo store.

Police said Waka Flocka Flame, 24, whose given name is Juaquin Malphurs, was at the Car Stereo Warehouse to have the sound system on his tour bus upgraded.

Around 4 p.m., he was talking with fans and having his picture taken outside the store, witnesses said.

Two vehicles – an older model white Land Rover and a later model Dodge, possibly a Charger – pulled into the parking lot, said Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Spokesman Rob Tufano. The men in the car exchanged gunfire with people in the rapper’s party, according to police. READ MORE
