Columbus could become the latest city in the state to ban texting while driving. A proposed amendment to the city code that would prohibit texting while driving will be discussed during a public hearing held by the City Council on Tuesday. If approved, texting while driving would become a primary offense, allowing a police officer to pull you over if you’re observed texting while driving. A ticket would cost $150.00.
