Looks like Drake has another reason to laugh all the way to the bank. Actually, Drake has forty two million reasons to laugh to the bank. He is currently the best selling live tour for the year.

2012 has been good to the Canadian MC/singer. His sophomore album uprooted Lady Gaga‘s Born This Way project as the highest first week sales for a full priced album. In the first three weeks of it’s release, Take Care sold close to 850,000 copies. To put the into perspective, Rihanna‘s album Talk That Talk has been out for nearly a year and hasn’t reached those numbers.

As for his Club Paradise Tour, Drake is still outpacing the competition. According to Pollstar’s Mid-Year Top 100 Worldwide Tours, Drake has brought in a little more than $42.6 million out of sixty five dates. The tour started on Valentine’s Day in Florida and has been kicking ass and taking names. Drake’s tour has bested the likes of The Throne whose massive tour only brought in $27.1 million. Madonna‘s latest tour fared better than Jay-Z and Kanye‘s show, but didn’t make enough to knock Drake off his high horse. Madonna’s most recent tour brought in $42.1 million.

As if winning in the music scene weren’t enough, Drake also has the number one movie in the country at the moment. Along with Jennifer Lopez and Nicki Minaj,Drake lends his voice to a character in Ice Age 4: Continental Drift. The film topped weekend box office lists by making $46 million during its opening weekend.
