A$AP Rocky recently told MTV News that he felt his major-label debut,Long.Live.A$AP
was like his graduation to the big time.

In which case he should start getting his cap and gown swag ready, because according to Billboard the 24-year-old MC’s album is headed for a #1 debut on next week’s Billboard 200 album chart. Industry projections put the first-week sales for the disc at around 130,000 copies for the tracking week ending on Sunday. In addition to getting some help from the top five R&B/Hip-Hop Songs hit “F—n’ Problems,” which features Drake, 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar, A$AP got a boost from a slow early-year release week.

The only other new title expected to chart in the top 10 is the Kidz Bop 23 compilation.

“This album is more advanced; it’s like [I] graduated,” he told MTV News, while comparing it to his acclaimed mixtape, Live.Long.A$AP. “It took me a year to do it, so everything I’ve been going through — as far as life inspiration — is all from within this past year after I got my record deal.Live.Love.A$AP [is life] before the record deal and Long.Live.A$AP is after the deal.” SEE VIDEO HERE
