COLUMBUS, Ohio – Columbus SWAT officials arrested a kidnapping suspect at a north Columbus apartment complex.
Matthew A. Drake, 38, was arrested shortly before 8 a.m. Tuesday and was charged with one count of kidnapping.
Officials said they had been searching for him since around 4 a.m.
They responded to a domestic dispute early Tuesday at the Abbey Lane apartments at Morse Road and Cleveland Avenues.
The victim told police that Drake was armed with a gun.
Police evacuated a number of the apartment buildings and surrounded the complex.
SWAt forced entry into the buildings, but did not find Drake inside.
