WATER COOLER TALK: Miss Kansas Theresa Vail says has set out to break the a stereotype that women with visible tattoos can’t compete in pageants. And Tuesday night she didn’t cover hers up and walked across the stage at the Miss America swimsuit competition in a red bikini with her head held high showing her two tattoos. One is of the Serenity Prayer on her right mid section and the other is the insignia of the U.S. Army Dental Corps on her left shoulder making herself the first lady in this competition to show her tattoos.
When asked why she did it Vail said, “Reference A; my platform! Empowering women to OVERCOME stereotypes and break barriers.” So I want to know do you think it’s HOT or NOT for women to show their tattoos?
