Dr. Dre — the self-proclaimed first billionaire of hip-hop — is celebrating Apple’s bid to buy Beats Electronics by picking up Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady’s sprawling $50 million mansion in California, the New York Posthas learned.

Apple is said to be acquiring Beats Electronics for $3.2 billion, and while the deal is yet to be formally confirmed, Dre has been busy looking for a new mansion fit for a mogul.

Sources tell the newspaper that Dre has made an offer near the $50 million asking price for Bundchen and Brady’s palatial pad in Brentwood. The 14,000-square-foot mega-mansion, featured in Architectural Digest, boasts six bedrooms, a library, a state-of-the-art gym, infinity pool, waterfall and even a moat. No word on the sound system, but Dre will be sure to have his own put in place.

“Dre put an offer on the mansion as soon as it came on the market, and is a few weeks away from closing,”

revealed a source.  It was not clear if Dre would immediately put his current mansion in the Hollywood Hills on the market.
