Ray J’s Girlfriend Threatens Suicide After Break-Up, 911 Called
Ray J frantically called 911 Wednesday and told the dispatcher his girlfriend said she was going to kill herself.
According to our sources, Ray J broke things off with Princess Tuesday night. We’re told she was incessantly texting him after he left for work today, and when she didn’t hear what she wanted from him she threatened suicide.
We’re told Ray J knew there was a gun in the house, so he took the threat seriously. Ray J noted to the dispatcher, their good friend Earl Hayes just committed a murder-suicide … and that put him on high alert.
Cops went to their home for a welfare check, but she wasn’t home. They haven’t spoken with her but Ray J now says he just spoke with her and she insists she won’t go through with the threat.
According to TMZ, Ray J’s ex-girlfriend threatened suicide because she pushed over the edge after she found out Ray was nuzzling up to Karrueche Tran.
As TMZ reported, Ray broke up with Princess Love Tuesday night after a big fight. Now we know where he went afterward. Ray went to a studio to shoot a New Year’s Eve special for BET. Karrueche was also on the show and Ray hung out with her until 4 AM. We got a couple of pics which show they were definitely getting along.
It’s unclear if there’s a relationship between the two yet.
Diddy Infuriated With Drake Months Before Punch
Diddy’s assault on Drake Monday morning was months in the making because last June he told a packed nightclub in Miami that Drake stole his song and then played it as if it were his own.
Diddy was at Story Nightclub in Miami Beach performing with Mase. Diddy never mentioned Drake by name, but made it clear he was a thief.
It’s interesting, Diddy says he “gave” Drake the beat and then Drake stole it. As we reported, Diddy punched Drake hard Monday, warning him never to disrespect him again. Drake reinjured his shoulder and went to the ER.
Drake posted a picture on Wednesday from his hotel room, making it seem like he’s okay.
Chris Rock Says Ben Roethlisberger is the ‘Original Cosby’
Apparently, Chris Rock is not a Ben Roethlisberger fan, calling the Pittsburgh Steelers QB the “Original Cosby” during a media event in Baltimore last night.
Rock was addressing the crowd before a screening of his new movie “Top 5″ when he said, “I was getting ready to say something really bad about Roethlisberger … he’s the original Cosby.”
Rock is clearly harkening back a few years — when two different women accused Big Ben of rape in two different cities.
Roethlisberger was first accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Lake Tahoe back in 2008. He ultimately settled with his accuser and was never charged with a crime.
The second alleged incident went down in Georgia in 2010 … when Ben allegedly assaulted a woman in a nightclub bathroom. He was investigated by cops but never charged with a crime. Ben was never accused of drugging the women, unlike Bill Cosby who has been accused of giving women pills before taking advantage of them.
After Rock cracked the joke, he realized the comment might spark some controversy — saying, “That’s horrible … that’s gonna go everywhere.”
Columbus Short Admits To Using Cocaine
In an interview with “Access Hollywood,” the former “Scandal” actor Columbus Short confirmed that he was actually struggling with a drug addiction. See what he had to say about it in these excerpts and then watch the video below.
“Let me just be– I’ll be candid. I was struggling with drugs. I had a lot on my plate and was using unhealthy ways to kind of self medicate to deal with a lot of heavy stuff in my life.”
What kind of drugs?
The real drugs. I did cocaine. I was doing cocaine and drinking a lot and trying to balance a 16-hour work schedule a day and a family. I lost myself back there.
Did Shonda know?
She did and if we’re going to be fully transparent they protected me and they held me down. And that was one of the real reasons. They just wanted me to get my stuff together. And sometimes the bottom has to get dropped out for you to really get it. So I moved to Atlanta and I’ve been living there for the last five and a half months and it’s been life changing.
It was numbing stuff. I was going through a lot. Going through a lot in my marriage. I had a lot of tragic loss. Last year, one of my best friends died, he killed himself. Lee Thompson Young. And that kind of started a spiral. I found out while I was on set. It really just took my legs out from under me.
How he’s getting better
First of all I think when anybody is dealing with drugs or alcohol, you have to change your environment period. So I had to move. And my therapy really was working on my album. Music changes things, period.
You got to think at the end it didn’t just affect me or my home. It’s affected Shonda, Kerry, my kids, my grandmother, my family, my church family. People care when people are going through things. And people forget that we’re human.
A judge demanded the Columbus stay in California because of all the legal trouble. Will he be able to live and work in L.A. without succumbing to his old problems?
I used to come back in to L.A. for these court dates and I would drive through the city and I’d see these triggers, real triggers. Just memories, places. It had to take a good five months, a good five or six months for me to get strong enough so I could come back to L.A. and really do what I have to do.
Cuba Gooding Jr. Cast To Play O.J. Simpson
Academy Award-winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr. has been cast to play O.J. Simpson FX’s new crime series, “American Crime Story,” Time reports. The series’ first season has been titled “The People vs. O.J. Simpson” and will center around the 1995 murder trial of the troubled ex-athlete.
The series will be based on CNN’s legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin’s 1996 book on the trial, The Run for His Life. Sarah Paulson from the network’s “American Horror Story” has been cast to play prosecutor Marcia Clark. This particular story will be “told from the perspective of the lawyers that explores the chaotic behind-the-scenes dealings and maneuvering on both sides of the court, and how a combination of prosecution confidence, defense wiliness, and the LAPD’s history with the city’s African-American community gave a jury what it needed: reasonable doubt,” a statement reads.
According to the series’ executive producer Ryan Murphy, “American Crime Story” doesn’t have an official premiere date as of yet, but it may make its network debut in January of 2016. He adds that each season following the debut season will focus on a different trial that garnered public attention.
According to the Wall Street Journal, this will be Cuba’s first leading TV role.
