What You Will Be Doing
This position will manage one to two buildings with retail selling space. The first building is a clothing, footwear, and home décor store and second building houses tack, show clothing, and other related merchandise. The store manager is responsible for working with the operations manager to develop and maintain policies that ensure our customers receive the best customer service in the industry. The store manager will also implement programs that that drive sales and increase margin in order to meet our financial goals. Primary responsibilities include controlling and monitoring overall store expenses, and ensuring that all merchandising, employee, financial, and inventory standards are maintained and met. The store manager will also help to manage a variety of other company promotions (Training Seminars, Cowboy Day, Trade Shows). The store manager will also be responsible for creating a visual representation for the store, including but not limited to; table displays, signage and other promotional material, and will be responsible for general organization of the store.
What You Need for this Position
Job Requirements
Prior retail store management and a bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred for this position. You must also have the ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Store managers will be required to work most Saturdays.
Other Requirements:
• Knowledge of retail merchandising and best management practices.
• Experience developing and coaching employees for work in a retail environment.
• Strong customer service orientation and focus.
• Effective communication, organization, and problem solving skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows and Office products.
• Knowledge of horses and the western lifestyle is highly desired.
