Meet our Power Girl of the Week Makia Kambon, a young professional and administrative at The Ohio State University. She stops in Dime Time Radio to share with DJ Dimepiece on what makes her a Power Girl!
Born and raised in Columbus, OH, Makia Kambon is well known in the Columbus community and beyond. She has a genuine interest in people and is a prime example of a Connector described in Malcolm Gladwell’s bestseller, The Tipping Point. She attended Howard University in Washington, DC and upon graduation, she moved on to New York City to jump start her career in Marketing and Media Sales. She has now returned to Columbus, OH and currently serves as the Program Coordinator for Women’s Student Initiatives at The Ohio State University. In this role, she coordinates intimate and grand programs to educate and empower women at one of the largest universities in the country. She has been a visiting radio personality on Power 107.5 and also hosts a web/television show for the City of Columbus entitled The Loop Columbus. She is a lover of great food, fashion and philanthropy.
