Columbus police found four people — two men and two women dead — inside of a home in the 1600 block of East Hudson Street Saturday morning, ABC6/FOX28 has learned. They appeared to have been shot to death.

A fifth person — a woman — was found in an alleyway near the home, located near Cleveland Avenue in northeast Columbus, was transported to a local hospital for medical attention. Sgt. David Sicillian, with the Columbus Division of Police’s homicide unit, says it’s uncertain if that person is connected to the shooting victims.

The sergeant says with the scene under investigation, police are still trying to determine the victims’ identities and ages. Police were working to obtain a search warrant to investigate the Hudson Street home.

There was no official word on a suspect connected to the shootings.

“We need to try to develop information with respect to a suspect. We have no information to go on at this point in time,” the sergeant told ABC6/FOX28 News’ Michele Newell about 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Part of securing the scene, officers closed off Hudson Street from Cleveland Avenue to Billiter Boulevard.

Anyone with information regarding this shooting is asked to contact the Columbus Division of Police at 614-645-4545.
